Kesselgrub Kinderhotel is a family-focused resort in Austria that combines modern hospitality with a wide range of leisure, wellness, and entertainment facilities for guests of all ages. With numerous indoor and outdoor areas including restaurants, relaxation zones, activity rooms, and children’s spaces, the hotel required a fully integrated audio system capable of delivering consistent background music, flexible source management, and reliable paging throughout the entire property.

The diversity of spaces and functions presented a clear technical challenge. Each zone required independent audio control to support different atmospheres, from calm wellness environments to lively family areas and outdoor activity zones. At the same time, the system needed to ensure seamless operation across the entire hotel, with centralized management, reliable streaming sources, and intuitive control for staff without technical expertise. Scalability and long-term reliability were essential to support the hotel’s evolving operational needs.

To address these requirements, the installation, delivered in collaboration with AUDAC distributor Tremtec and installation partner RedZac Kappacher, is built around two LUNA-F network audio matrix processors, forming the digital backbone of the system. Together, these processors can manage up to 128 zones, enabled by SL-NAC8 Dante™/AES67 audio channel expansion licenses. The LUNA-F processors handle all audio routing, zone distribution, and signal processing, ensuring stable, low-latency audio transport across the entire hotel infrastructure while maintaining full centralized control.

For music playback and source integration, the system incorporates multiple XMP44 modular audio systems, equipped with SourceCon™ streaming, media player, and internet radio modules. This provides the hotel with reliable access to streaming services, locally stored media, and internet radio, ensuring uninterrupted playback and flexible content management across all areas. This modular approach allows the system to adapt easily to changing operational requirements without hardware modifications.

Amplification is handled through a combination of SMQ750 and PMQ series multi-channel amplifiers, delivering efficient and reliable power across the extensive loudspeaker network. These amplifiers provide the flexibility required for both low-level ambient playback and higher output levels in active areas, while maintaining consistent sound quality and system efficiency.

To achieve uniform and discreet sound coverage, a wide range of AUDAC loudspeakers were carefully selected based on the acoustic and architectural requirements of each zone. CIRA series ceiling loudspeakers form the foundation of the installation, providing balanced and unobtrusive background music throughout the corridors, restaurants, and wellness areas. In more demanding environments such as activity rooms and outdoor spaces, ATEO surface loudspeakers, WX outdoor loudspeakers, and VEXO high-performance speakers deliver controlled dispersion and enhanced output while maintaining clarity and acoustic comfort. Low-frequency reinforcement in selected areas is provided by BASO subwoofers, adding depth and warmth to the overall sound experience.

System configuration and daily operation are fully managed through the AUDAC Touch™ control platform, providing intuitive visualization and centralized control of all zones and sources. In combination with NCP wall control panels, NWP network audio interfaces, and NPM200 paging consoles, staff can easily adjust volume levels, select sources, and make announcements with clarity and confidence.
The result is a fully integrated and future-ready AUDAC audio solution that supports the operational flexibility and guest experience of Kesselgrub Kinderhotel. By combining centralized networked control, modular source management, efficient amplification, and carefully matched loudspeaker solutions, the system delivers consistent sound quality, intuitive operation, and reliable performance throughout the entire facility.
